Outreach

Outreach
Matthew 25:38-40
'When did we see You a stranger and take [You] in, or naked and clothe [You]? 'Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'  "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did [it] to one of the least of these My brethren, you did [it] to Me.' Our outreach team is committed to reaching out to the lost, hurt, and broken in our community and showing them the love of Jesus.

We are dedicated to going outside the four walls of the church to serve our community, our surrounding communities, and the nations of this world.  Our outreach team works with our area homeless shelters, orphanages, local jails, nursing homes, along with many others to bring help and change to the communities around us.  We also are partnering and building relationships with churches in other countries to aid in spreading the gospel to every nation.

Broken Lambs Benevolence Ministry

Is the benevolent "arm" of King's Way Fellowship.  Like Stephen in Acts 6, we focus on the physical needs of people, with the greater goal of revealing the love of Jesus and leading them to salvation.  With the world looking more and more to the church for help with the poor and needy, we want to help fill that gap through the following ministries:

  • The Food Pantry
  • Wrapped in Scripture Quilts
  • The Least of These

The Food Pantry
Provides help for people struggling to feed their families. For single parents, the elderly, the homeless, those out of work, or working families who are having trouble making ends meet, the food pantry is here to help.  Many area families receive food stamps, but it is just not enough to make it to the end of the month.

The Food Pantry is open . . .
Tuesday – 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Wednesday – Friday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Wrapped in Scripture Quilts
Makes quilts to provide comfort to the hurting, abused and neglected.  Our quilts have been donated to the men in the “Refuge” drug and alcohol treatment center, as well as orphans and other needy children, just to name a few. The goal, of course, is to bring a little warmth, comfort, and just a bit of security, that only a quilt can give.  We are the Shepherd’s hands.  Each quilt has a pocket on the back that contains a small Bible and they are prayed over before we distribute them.

The Least of These
Matthew 25:45 says, “Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.” (KJV)

This ministry works hand-in-hand with the King’s Way Outreach Team to provide for the community.  Our goal is to bring change to our community by connecting people to God and each other.  “The Least of These” does special projects and outreach events throughout the year.  We provide children with book bags filled with school supplies, families with food for a Thanksgiving meal, and we deliver Christmas breakfast the King's Way to low income areas. These are just a few of the outreach projects we have planned and are involved in each year.
