Please join us Sunday, October 17 at 11:00 AM at the Aronoff Center for the Arts for a special service to say farewell to John Russell, our retiring Senior Minister.

We Believe
. . . in the God revealed in the Bible. We believe He is creator of everything, and that He has control over all creation (He is sovereign). We believe He exists in three forms all at the same time; God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit
. . . that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God the Father. We believe He came to earth in human form over 2000 years ago. He lived a sinless life, died a sacrificial death, and paid for every sin mankind had ever committed or would commit from that point on. We believe He then rose from the dead and resides in Heaven with God the Father. He will return again and establish a Kingdom here on earth. Anyone who has accepted a relationship with Him (which we call “saved” or “born again”) will be part of that Kingdom.
. . . in the Holy Spirit. It is His presence that is here for each person who has a relationship with Jesus Christ. Becoming a mature Christian means allowing Him to take over every aspect of your life. It is a process that never ends, but as we become more familiar with Him and allow Him to lead and guide us, He will give us power to live right (Holy), to understand God and His ways, and the courage to share the love and light of God with others (witnessing our faith).
. . . that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God, and our standard for faith and practice.
. . . man’s salvation is through renouncing his self-determination, taking responsibility for his disobedience, turning from his sin, and seeking forgiveness from God. Further, we believe such a penitent person must put his faith in Jesus Christ.
. . . Jesus Christ will return to earth in a visible way. His purpose will be to manifest His government on the earth. Christians are exhorted to be watchful and obedient until His appearing. While there are many viewpoints concerning His second coming, we believe Christians should lovingly look for His appearing, giving full attention to obedience while He tarries. We believe His appearing will occasion the resurrection of the righteous who have died and who are now with Him.
. . . in a final judgment at the end of the age. The righteous and the wicked shall stand before God and be judged.
